Windows 7 Home Professional has everything you need for work and home. This is an academically priced upgrade and can be installed on a system that meets the minimum specifications. For this version, eligible operating systems include:
- OSX 10.6 w/Bootcamp
- Windows Vista (Home, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate)
- Windows XP (will require clean install)
- Windows 2000 (will require clean install)

Additional requirements to use certain features:
- Internet access (fees may apply)
- Depending on resolution, video playback may require additional memory and advanced graphics hardware
- For some Windows Media Center functionality a TV tuner and additional hardware may be required
- Windows Touch and Tablet PCs require specific hardware
- HomeGroup requires a network and PCs running Windows 7
- DVD/CD authoring requires a compatible optical drive
- Music and sound require audio output
This software may be purchased by current NCSU faculty, staff and students for personal use only. It is not availible to departments nor to students of other universities.
